Level 1 basic foot care

As a Registered Nurse, safety comes first. Services focus on professional assessment and Level 1 basic foot care as described by Arizona nursing practice guidance. Instruments are autoclave-sterilized. We do not use shared foot soaks.

Included now

  • Trimming and filing nails of normal thickness
  • Skin and foot assessment
  • Moisturizing and education

Not included at this time

  • Paring or shaving calluses
  • Reducing thick or fungal nails
  • Wound care beyond basic observation and referral

When you need more advanced care, we help you connect with a local podiatrist or physician so you get the right level of service.

About diabetes and “Level 2” care: Assessment, education, and referral are part of careful nursing foot care. Under our current launch protocols (pending AZ Board of Nursing and counsel confirmation), clients with diabetes or other high-risk histories are not scheduled for Level 1 nail instrumentation. Advanced (Level 2) diabetic foot care typically requires accredited specialty training and an appropriate order—we do not claim Level 2 services yet.

Infection-control trust note

Clients and families often ask how we keep visits clean. At a high level:

  • Single-client instrument sets sterilized in an autoclave between uses
  • Clean field and hand hygiene at every visit
  • No communal foot baths
  • Clear referral when a foot problem needs a physician or podiatrist

This is not a substitute for your primary care or specialty medical care. It is nursing foot care delivered with clinical habits.
